- State Central Committee – Elected by party members at the state convention, this committee is the governing body of the Party.
- County Chairs - Elected at county conventions, these ninety-nine Democrats oversee the party’s involvement in local races and help organize their county’s Democrats come election time.

1st District of Iowa

Jones County resides in the new 1st Congressional District. The 1st Congressional District of Iowa is a congressional district covering the southeastern quarter of Iowa.
The new congressional map, drawn by the state's Legislative Services Agency and passed with bipartisanship support in the state House of Representatives and Senate, was signed into law by Governor Reynolds on November 4, 2021. Reflecting population shifts recorded in the 2020 United States Census, the new map changes boundaries based on population changes.
